Family Commitment: Time
Practices:
You can expect to practice every day once the season starts. Our swim season runs from mid-May until the end of season in June. Before the public schools are out, we will practice in the afternoons Monday - Thursday. After CMS is out of school, practices switch to the mornings (Monday - Friday).
Swim Meets:
Swim meets are on Monday and Thursday evenings. We typically have 6 or 7 swim meets in the season (3-4 home and 3-4 away). At a Home meet, swimmers typically arrive around 5pm for warm-ups. The actual meet begins at 6pm and lasts until approximately 9pm.
Family Commitment: Attendance
Summer swim leagues are fun! We hope to foster a strong team environment. While we know everyone has different vacation schedules, as well as other commitments, we hope you will be able to attend as many practices, meets, and social events as possible.
It is not necessary to alert your coach if you are going to miss a scheduled practice. However, if you cannot attend a meet (or will arrive late/leave early), we ask that you submit this information on the website.
Families are expected to fulfill their Volunteer Commitment. You can choose to work 2 whole meets or 4 half meets.
